UNITED KNITTING
Sustainability

Sustainability is defined as a system of working and living that provides quality of life for all individuals and species and preserves natural resources. United Knitting is committed to producing sustainable-sourced fabrics made from post consumer as well as post industrial recycled polyester and nylon. Equally important is our commitment to the continual refinement of our manufacturing process to minimize our impact on the environment.

In our Mission to produce the highest performance fabrics with the lowest environmental impact we are proud to announce that United Knitting has entered into an agreement with bluesign technologies to screen and ultimately certify our state-of-the-art knitting, dyeing and finishing facility. Our philosophy has always been to do the right thing when it comes to our manufacturing process and its impact on people and the environment. The initiative was implemented internally years ago by continually refining our vertical manufacturing facility in Cleveland Tennessee. Partnering with bluesign enables us to take that philosophy to the next level ensuring that through the bluesign process we examine all aspects of dyeing and finishing according to the five principles of bluesign standard which consist of resource productivity, consumer safety, air emissions, water emissions, and occupational health and safety. This allows us along with other bluesign standard retailers and brands to develop and ensure the most environmentally focused supply chain.
